Abstract

To explore the effect of Chonglou Saponin VII on osteoarthritis and extracellular matrix in rats. By analyzing
various indexes of rat osteoarthritis model, including the recovery of motor function of osteoarthritis rats, the
degree of pathological damage of bone and joint tissues, the changes of joint diameter of osteoarthritis rats, the
change of toe volume, the major osteoarthritis Changes in mouse inflammatory factors, etc. Chonglou saponin
VII promoted the recovery of motor function of osteoarthritis rats and reduced the pathological damage of bone
and joint tissues. Zhonglou saponin VII in different dose groups can reduce the joint diameter, toe volume and
Makin S score of osteoarthritis rats to different degrees, suggesting that Zhonglou saponin VII in each dose
group has the effect of treating osteoarthritis. On the basis of previous studies on the effect of Chonglou Saponin
VII on anti-osteoarthritis in rats, further study the mechanism of its anti-inflammatory effect. As a result, it was
found that Chonglou Saponin VII can reduce the levels of TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-1β, and inhibit the levels of IL-1β
and MMP9. Conclusion: Chonglou saponin VII can inhibit the deterioration of osteoarthritis by inhibiting the
expression of inflammatory factors, promote the recovery of motor function of osteoarthritis rats, and reduce the
pathological damage of bone and joint tissues. The results of this study initially clarified the potential of
Chonglou Saponin VII in the treatment of osteoarthritis.
