Expression of SDF-1 and CXCR4 in the Lung of Asthmatic Mice

Abstract

To investigate the expression of SDF-1 and CXCR4 in the lung of asthmatic mice and analyze the mechanism.
60 healthy mice were selected, 30 asthmatic mice models were established in the observation group and normal
healthy mice in the control group. The airway wall thickness, epithelial mucosa thickness and smooth muscle
thickness of the two groups were observed. The number of leukocytes, eosinophils, lymphocytes and neutrophils
were compared. The expression of SDF-1, CXCR4 protein and mRNA were compared. Compared with the
control group, the thickness of airway wall, epithelial mucosa and smooth muscle in the observation group
increased significantly (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the number of leukocytes, eosinophils,
lymphocytes and neutrophils in the observation group increased significantly (P<0.05). Compared with the
control group, the expression of SDF-1, CXCR4 protein and mRNA in the observation group increased
significantly (P<0.05). SDF-1 and CXCR4 are positively correlated with the expression of lung tissue in
asthmatic mice, and they participate in the airway remodeling of asthma, which may be an important index to
predict the incidence and severity of asthma.
