Value Analysis of Corneal Confocal Microscopy in Diagnosis and Treatment of Patients with Fungal Keratitis

Abstract

To explore the clinical value of corneal confocal microscopy in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with
fungal keratitis. Randomly selected 74 patients with fungal keratitis admitted to our hospital for treatment within
24 months from 2018 to 2019 as the study objects. During the examination, 74 study subjects were randomly
divided into a control group and an observation group, and were conducted confocal microscopy and corneal
tissue scrape examination respectivel, which were compared to the show the positive detection rate of the two
groups of patients. During the treatment of patients with fungal keratitis, the control group received traditional
conventional antifungal drugs, and the observation group received corneal confocal microscopic examination
combined with antifungal treatment. Comparing the three indexes of corneal lesions after treatment, treatment
satisfaction and treatment efficiency after follow-up, to verify the value of confocal microscopy in the treatment
of fungal keratitis. 124 patients were randomly divided into two groups and received different diagnoses and
treatments. After treatment, the corneal lesions were reduced, but from the comparison of the statistical data of
the two groups, it was found that the positive detection rate of confocal microscopy during the examination was
significantly higher than that of corneal tissue scraping, P <0.05. After the two groups of patients received
treatment, the improvement of the lesion performance of the observation group after treatment was significantly
better than that of the control group, and the statistical results of treatment satisfaction and subsequent treatment
efficiency were better than the control group. P <0.05. The patients with fungal keratitis received ideal corneal
confocal microscopy, and the condition improved ideally, and the fungal hyphae and stromal cells have changed
significantly. The disease is suppressed in time, and the recurrence is reduced, which effectively increases the
treatment satisfaction and the effectiveness of treatment with clinical promotion value.
